The world-famous Museum of Modern Art comes to Paris for an unparalleled event with its exhibition “Being modern”. For five months, over 200 works of art from the greatest museum of modern art in the world, MoMa New York, will be exhibited at Louis Vuitton Foundation for the greatest pleasure of art lovers!
Masterworks by Alexander Calder, Jasper Johns, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Frank Stella, Yvonne Rainer, unknown from the French museums, will be in Paris for five months. On this occasion, the French capital will also find works of art by Marcel Duchamp, Paul Cézanne, René Magritte and Paul Signac again, since they have been acquired in 1929 by the MoMA.
For 90 years now, the MoMA gives itself over to contemporary fine arts by purchasing the best of world interdisciplinary production. The 200,000 works of the collection – paintings, sculptures, engravings, photographs, videos, architectural and design items, performances “celebrate creativity, openness, tolerance and generosity”.
